Open Recruitment/Recreational Skate Club is tomorrow. Be at the Montpelier Rec Center (55 Barre St, Montp) at 5PM. No gear? No problem!

It was a night to remember! October 29th rolled around with a nail biter between the Plattsburgh Lumber Jills and Central Vermont’s Twin City Riot.

Twin City was behind by approximately 20-30 points the 1st half but rallied hard in the second half and came within a point distance of tieing the Lumber Jills.

The Riot’s jammer was called out on a major penalty in the final jam for cutting the track and the Lumber Jills took the win 95-87.

MVP’s were given to Mocha Latte of Twin City Riot and Pipi Killstockings of the Lumber Jills.

Without our volunteers our bouts would not be possible. Much derby love goes to the folks who stood at the doors, handled merchandise, were penalty trackers NSO’s (non-skating officials), Zeebs, announcers, and of course; our fans. Everyone made this a great first season for us!

Central Vermont Roller Derby has teamed up with The Confluence- (Green Mountain) Crossfit to get and stay in shape over our “off season”.

We love working out with them! Hopefully we’ll have pictures to come.

Our off season is comprised of learning new things and taking a brief but much needed hiatus for the holidaze.

The Burlington B-Town Bombshells played against Central Vermont’s Twin City Riot after a Men’s Roller Derby Bout: Mass Maelstrom Roller Derby vs. Burlington Bombers Roller Derby’s Bomb Quads at Barre BOR.

The BOR was packed, thanks to our supportive fans, and Twin City Riot pulled an unexpected large lead in the first half of the bout against the B-Town Bombshells.
